eBay Buys Mobile App Developer Critical Path Software

EBay is a bit of holiday shopping session. Weeks after announcing the acquisition of Milo, the e-commerce giant has bought Critical Path Software.

The developer of mobile applications based in Portland helped eBay develop its range of phones, including iPhone primary application, StubHub, eBay listings and applications for the iPhone Shopping.com. The financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition, which seems to focus on talent, it is reasonable to consider eBay a big push towards the development of mobile applications suite. Recently on eBay just released a barcode app RedLaser (which eBay acquired in June) for Android phones.

Not only is the mobile good way to send traffic to the eBay marketplace (the first iPhone App has seen 14 million downloads in two years), but also a way to make money AA. eBay is posting record sales of rental mobile offers, and we expect to see sales over $ 1.5 billion in the mobile market in 2010.
