Indian government may temporarily close the BlackBerry services

Government may decide to temporarily close Messenger and e-mail of BlackBerry  if the services of Research In Motion does not meet the security concerns at a meeting to be held between the government and traders on Thursday. Interior Ministry will insist on a fixed time for RIM to share the details of encryption when officials meet with telecom operators, on Thursday. Government said that the maker of BlackBerry service could be hijacked by militants and security agencies can not access the messages sent by these services.

Earlier this week a new Blackberry had tried to break the deadlock in its services in India, providing metadata and relevant information to security agencies, allowing them to lawful interception, but not thrilled. According to the minutes of the meeting between government officials and the Canadian company Research In Motion (RIM), maker of the BlackBerry, RIM said the BlackBerry mobile device representative sends the encrypted message is sent to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), located a supplier. BES decrypts the messages and sends them to the mail servers of the service provider, which is stored in decrypted form. The message is then pushed to your BlackBerry device in encrypted form.
