Vodafone Spending Rs 2,200 Crore For 3G Network in 2011  Q1

Vodafone Essar, the telecommunications provider in India the second largest, announced it will invest Rs 2.200 crore run 3G services in the first quarter of 2011. Vodafone has already spent Rs 11.600 crore during the 3G tender. Vodafone has not disclosed its 3G service charges.

 Vodafone services will be launched in a phased manner starting with a few selected cities. Vodafone has acquired 3G spectrum in 10 circles, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (E) and West Bengal.

As announced last week, Vodafone has selected Nokia Siemens Networks and Ericsson in India as a partner for its 3G network across the country. This partnership will enable rapid deployment of 3G, creating a synergy between the GSM and 3G networks and maintaining access advanced high-speed packet in the circles of Vodafone 3G license.

Vodafone is in talks with operators of high quality and long term - including Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular - to offer 3G services in areas where no wave 3G. The ultimate goal of these comparisons will allow customers to experience the perfection 3G across the country, whether it is a Vodafone circle or another operator.
