
Tata Tele to launch 3G in all circles this year
Tata Teleservices, India's fourth largest mobile operator, will complete the deployment of 3G wireless data in the nine areas of telecommunications in the year, the company said.
Tata Tele, 26 percent owned by Japan's NTT DoCoMo, has won the rights in an auction earlier this year to offer 3G services in nine of the 22 areas designated for telcom India rupees 58.64 billion ($1.3 billion).
India top mobile operator Bharti Airtel plans to launch 3G services by 2010, while the No. 3 operator Vodafone Essar eyeing a launch in January-March quarter of 2011.
